Please sign our petition to stop violations of the medical civil rights of people with disabilities

We can help one individual family after another, but the problem is too enormous to allow that many people with disabilities to wait long enough for help to come their way.

It’s up to the Office for Civil Rights of the US Department of Health & Human Services and the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice to put a halt to government condoned daily violations of the civil rights of one of our country’s most fragile populations — our children and adults with disabilities.

Please sign our petition, and spread the word to as many families as you can.  It’s for our kids, many of whom can’t do this for themselves.

I’ve also been put on Evercare, and they are not paying my Dr.s They have me in tears. I feel for you and your daughter. It’s indecent how much money these insurance companies make (all made by not paying claims)

    This has been long overdue

My disabled medically fragile child stated school this year. I received 300 respite hours a month from Ohana Care. I am a single mom and I work full time and have kept my child home (where he should be) and out of a nursing facility for 3years.I could not do this without help from nursing services. When my child started school a couple of weeks ago.Ohna Care subtracted my child‘s school hours, they talked in circles and kept saying that I am still getting 300hrs minus the hours in school. Like they are trying to say that the school hours are respite hours. But, the school hrs has NOTHING to do with Ohana care. I hear from other Mom’s that the same thing is happening to them. Isn’t this some kind of fraud on Ohana cares part? Who can we report this to?

You’re right, your son’s time at school has nothing to do with his services from Ohana. I’m going to email you privately regarding the measures you can take. If this is happening to other moms, it needs to get stopped before harm comes to any of the children.
